LOLLY’S | Kim Mallory, Fashion Photography

I had a super fun shoot last week working for Lolly’s, a clothing store downtown.    Our very beautiful model, Coral, was a dream to work with.  Hair by Bijou and make-up by Gwen at the Powder Room and Lois and Leslie styling,      I’m very excited about the photos and had a mini epiphany during this session .   I knew I liked fashion but I never really thought about how the clothing that someone is wearing can inspire me during a shoot.    Colours, textures, layers, shoes, accessories…  I’m in my happy place….  oh and hats… sweeeet….

Pam O’Keefe - Kim & Elizabeth…. I am absolutely speechless!!!!!! I am fumbling on words to describe how you made me feel yesterday; like an absolute princess!! I am always on the other end making everyone else feel pretty. What an experience to get all dolled up to create a beautiful portfolio for the most important person in my life “My Husband” We as moms, housewives and career woman forget our inner beauty, and this is an amazing way to remind us that we ALL are BEAUTIFUL!! For those in need of a pick-me-up during this dull time of year, it is the cure to spend an afternoon with these beyond talented young ladies. I Thank you and I feel so privileged to work for you both!! XO

Fawn - Kim, Elizabeth, and of course Pam!

These are stunning!!! An amazing job done, of course and Pam is gorgeous :) I absolutely love the vintage look!!!

Fabulous ladies, absolutely fabulous!!! I could really go on and on, but I’d end up writing more than Pam lol. I can’t wait to see mine. I admit I’m a bit nervouse to see them because like Pam said we tend to forget our inner beauty and this time of year, it’s a really hard thing to recall that you have with the dim days and the long nights – not to mention the busy kids.

Kim, Elizabeth, you two are the greatest! :)

I AM SO LUCKY | Fraser Valley Photographer Kim Mallory has amazing friends & clients..

I am having an emotional moment this morning….  yes, this happens to me quite often these days… It’s a sign of the times.  What’s important in life.  Who’s important in life.  I love my job, but without the support of all of the people that have come into my life through photography, I would be nothing.   I’m trying to come up with a way to extend my appreciation emotionally.   Sure, I could call you up and offer you a free 5×7 but I’d rather give you all a big hug (and you know you’ll get extra little presents next time anyway).

Candace is one of my clients from way back… I shot her wedding and now she has two kids and we’ve been around the block a few times with each other… she is a great motivator for me and an inspiration (although she probably doesn’t know she inspires me with her beauty and her positive attitude and her amazing outlook on life and her wonderful mothering skills… but she does).   Here are some images from a last minute session that we did together on the weekend…

Pam O’Keefe - Hi Kim I just had to send this to you because I just read about your emotional morning!! I can so relate I could just cry!! It’s amazing the people that come into our lives whom are gifts from God like Candace, to really reassure and remind us how good of a person we are!! But it also floors me how certain friends that are in our lives can hurt us so much too.

Have a great day Kim!!
I am so glad you are a part of my life
Hugz
Pam :)

Vintage – Brick Walls, Old Cars, Cool Cameras | Downtown Family Session

I’ve been dying to share some images I took just before my blog went down,  taken the end of November.   The weather was pretty decent, now we are getting snow and I’m thinkin that kinda sucks for the outdoor sessions.    I might just have to book some “snow sessions” or something – there are crazy people out there that like the snow aren’t there?  I can suck it up for an hour!

Anyway, here are some cute, cute photos of  Maddie… a sweet 4 year old.  We had a blast together with her mom and she assisted me on our photoshoot..  She was using a Canon – I’m a Nikon girl but we got along just fine!!
