Tag Archives: newborn An awesome family that I began photographing a couple years for their wedding, Bryanne & Dustin are back with baby #2. Most of my clients do the maternity/newborn packages and Bryanne has an appreciation for beautiful albums and displays; is getting the Couture Baby package which includes a beautiful Magazine Style coffee table album and a Large 9 image collage. There is nothing sweeter than having something tangible to show off to all of your friends and family.
 This newborn session took place when baby was just 12 days old. Jared came 3 weeks early which worked perfectly for my schedule and he was just the perfect size to fit into one of my new props! Mom and dad were in previously for their maternity session which was a ton of fun and I’ll be designing a magazine style album for them that will showcase all of their favorite images from both sessions. I love designing. It’s just amazing to watch the images really come alive in an album.
by admin no comments  This little guy came to visit me last week. He had a very rough start having had heart surgery just a couple of weeks ago. I got a little teary eyed editing these and admittedly, during the shoot too. I had been expecting him over the course of the month and was so relieved when he finally pulled through his difficulties. During the session it was obvious he had been poked and prodded – he was so laid back he barely noticed our movements and was super easy to shoot. I know from experience how difficult it can be when baby is born needing surgery or medical treatment…. It’s so draining and emotional and very scary… But Warren is happy & sweet and just a beautiful little bundle of joy and listening to those little coos and cries just melts your heart and when you’ve been through something like this, you live every moment truly appreciative of how blessed we are to have these little miracles in our lives. Awww thanks so much ladies! xoxo  Today I will spend most of the day on the Hwy as I head out to Vancouver. My 13 year old daughter got her braces of yesterday and we have to go back in to get her retainer. I’m pretty sure I’ll be stuck in traffic for most of it, since the appointment ends at rush hour… so I thought I better get this posted before I go. We’ve been seeing the same orthodontist since she was 8 days old. (yes 8 DAYS old!) They are practically like family to us and I’m a little sad that our time with them is almost over… Another phase of our life soon to be in the past… Kudo’s to all the mom’s out there that take lots of pictures…. they grow so fast it’s not even funny. And here we have another mom getting an early start. Nicole was in – she is the sister of one of my past clients and they came together to this session with both babies, who are about 6 months apart.

I love your pictures. The different settings and poses is exactly what we were looking at for family pictures. You will be in my favorites for future references. Also for baby pictures.  One last post before I leave for my 4 day retreat to Vegas with my girlfriends. Well, okay, maybe it’s not a “retreat” but I’m up for getting the heck out of Dodge for a few days. As I’m editing these I’m reminded of my own two girls who were 22 months apart and how Nicole tried to put a hair clip in Jenna’s non-existent hair at this age. I caught Nicole just as she was starting to poke the pointy end of the clip into Jenna’s little head. Fun times, fun times… Now, I am just tormented by pre-teens and I’m convinced if I enjoy Vegas too much I might not come back. It’s hard to put a finger on what the hard part of raising children is. Every stage has it’s moments that’s for sure but as Jenna went to bed tonight and looked at me with those big sad eyes and told me she would miss me, I know why it’s important for mom’s to get away for a break, because getting that kind of sweetness nowadays apparently only happens when the mom is leaving town (at this stage anyway!). Anyway, it was so great to see this family again for baby #2! I can’t wait to get back just to go through the rest of these photos!
