SO THANKFUL RIGHT NOW | Kim Mallory Portrait Photographer, Chilliwack, BC

There are no words to describe how I’m feeling right now….  these images are stirring up some kind of wonderful, happiness inside me that I haven’t felt in awhile.   I’m editing and watching these photos come to life….  and seeing the emotional connection that my girls have that can get lost in the day to day grind….  they love each other and I’m in tears right now because I captured it and I’ll have it forever….   I’m so thankful that I pushed myself to do this on the last night of our vacation…   there is nothing more important than family….

A NEW CHAPTER | Lifestyle Grad Session Chilliwack Photographer Kim Mallory

I’ve meet some proud parents in my life, but none as proud as Marnie -Taylor’s mom who came wielding a video camera while I was shooting this Lifestyle Grad Session with Taylor and Courtney who are both graduating this year.   Rather than wait for Prom Night, Taylor and Courtney did a dry run so that we could photograph them in their Formal & Casual clothes.   It’s so much more laid back than a rushed photoshoot and we had a perfect day for it.

A COUNTRY GIRL | Kim Mallory Photography

I had the pleasure of shooting Kristal Barrett yesterday… she is a country singer and man is she good – and very beautiful both inside and out.  We had an amazing day and the perfect location.   Along with her video guy, Ryan from Earmark Creative we had a blast shooting this session.   Kristal will use these images on her new website and upcoming CD Cover and Music Video.

I AM SO LUCKY | Fraser Valley Photographer Kim Mallory has amazing friends & clients..

I am having an emotional moment this morning….  yes, this happens to me quite often these days… It’s a sign of the times.  What’s important in life.  Who’s important in life.  I love my job, but without the support of all of the people that have come into my life through photography, I would be nothing.   I’m trying to come up with a way to extend my appreciation emotionally.   Sure, I could call you up and offer you a free 5×7 but I’d rather give you all a big hug (and you know you’ll get extra little presents next time anyway).

Candace is one of my clients from way back… I shot her wedding and now she has two kids and we’ve been around the block a few times with each other… she is a great motivator for me and an inspiration (although she probably doesn’t know she inspires me with her beauty and her positive attitude and her amazing outlook on life and her wonderful mothering skills… but she does).   Here are some images from a last minute session that we did together on the weekend…

Pam O’Keefe - Hi Kim I just had to send this to you because I just read about your emotional morning!! I can so relate I could just cry!! It’s amazing the people that come into our lives whom are gifts from God like Candace, to really reassure and remind us how good of a person we are!! But it also floors me how certain friends that are in our lives can hurt us so much too.

Have a great day Kim!!
I am so glad you are a part of my life

Best Friends Forever | Fraser Valley Tween Photographer Kim Mallory

I’m not sure what to write about for this post… As I have complained in my previous posts… I was feeling a little down about not feeling inspired and really wanting a change…   I am a hippy at heart and if I’m not out protesting, or traveling the world, I want to be doing something meaningful… and for me that could be a variety of things… being inspired helps.  That’s why I do what I do.  It’s only fun for me if I’m getting warm fuzzies…  you know?  I know you know.   Well, this shoot gave me warm fuzzies (I’m happy to report)… so it’s all good.

These are pics of my daughters Jenna & Nicole and Nicole’s BFF, who is moving this week a whole 30 minutes away and they are devastated – as 13 year olds would be.
