GOODBYE WINTER |Alexa | Kim Mallory photographs kids, tweens & teens

This is a shoot that I never had time to blog… I still don’t really, but hey!  I’m on a roll tonight!

I shot this in January.  Alexa is the daughter of my very first client, Jennifer.   Alexa was barely two when I photographed her and not a happy little camper at all – a moody little thing.    Our families have known each other for years now and Jennifer has since become one of my closest friends .    Alexa… well, she’s just the perfect little model so when I am feeling like I need to experiment or try something new…  she’s my girl..  and not only is she cute, but her mom is amazing at styling a session.

I’m going to miss winter….  I love the look of the dead grass…  the  winter coats, hats, scarves… the wind and the shivering, trying to look warm when you’re not….. and 30 minutes or less sessions… like get out, get it done, it’s freeeezing!!    But worth EVERY minute of it…

INTRODUCING… | Chilliwack Baby Photographer Kim Mallory

I did Jessica’s Maternity Session not too long ago and now baby is here – sleepy and full of cuteness.

This was a really great session.  I know a lot of my moms are nervous that baby is going to be a baby… cry, spit up, pee on somebody, you know the things that babies do.  So it can be a little nerve wracking for newbies (new mom’s that is).  so generally the first order of service is to make sure mom is relaxed – because then baby is relaxed.

We had a lot of success with getting baby to sleep and got some really great pics.  After all these sessions, I think I’ve mastered the art of getting babies to sleep…  wish I had this skill with my own kids… totally would have come in handy!!!

One of my favorite families was in last week – adding baby #2 to the mix!   I’ve shot Melissa’s two maternity sessions and both babies now and it’s always so great to be able to watch families grow.  Melissa and Corey are amazing parents and their kids are just a joy to be around.. and CUTE too!

Sweet little bunny {2 months old} | Kim Mallory, Fraser Valley Baby Photographer

This little sweetie came in at the tender age of 2 months… exactly.   We determined that it was her 2 month birthday on the date of our photoshoot.    When she arrived she was as snug as a bug and sleepy as they come.    She woke up bright eyed and pretty much game for anything!  A very happy baby… and it was a very relaxed session.      She has her mom’s beautiful long eyelashes…   boys 18/ girls 1 (for long eyelashes) and big beautiful eyes.  Mom and dad should be very proud parents, she is absolutely adorable.
