I’ve had a sad couple of days after my sweet kitty was hit by a car and killed on Sunday. Obviously I am really upset, but I always try to find the good in the bad. In this case, I have to send a huge thank-you out to the Chilliwack SPCA. What these people do by coming out to an accident scene and taking care of animal remains, I am forever grateful. It was hard enough missing my cat for over 24 hours and then finding out over the phone by the SPCA that she had been killed, but it would have been 100 times worse if I had gotten a knock on my door and had to see my kitty in that state. So THANK-YOU from the bottom of my heart, my family appreciates everything you do.
In honour of my little miss. I’ll be adopting furry friends this season and collecting donations for dog and cat food and any cash donations. They can be dropped off at my house at 5256 Weeden Place anytime (leave food on the porch and money under the mat). Or just call me and I would be happy to pick up donations from you as well.
I would also like to thank everyone that commented on Facebook… the love and kindness and understanding is overwhelming and it’s so nice to know that people care.

And a picture of my little miss (Missy) taken with my iphone…. she was sweet, kind, gentle and a total glutton and I was completely in love with her.

Jennifer Williams - So sorry to hear about Missy
((hugs))
stacy a - I’m so sorry. She looked like such a happy feline companion. My heart goes out to you and I’ll certainly look into donating cat/dog food to our local shelter (and volunteer) in her honor.
Cathy Empey - SO sorry for your loss. That photo is so wonderful, what a sweet kitty. xo
Stacie Frazier - This post has brought tears to my eyes. The quote says it all about what these little creatures can do for one’s soul. They can fill your heart with love like no human can. For this reason, I know your heart must be broke Kim and I am just devastated for you. I wish I could comfort you in some way. If only we lived closer.
Leah Aubrey - Kim, I am so sorry for your loss. As a new cat owner, I would be heart broken to have this happen. They are such adorable and lovable little creatures. Lots and lots of hugs!
Jenny - So heartbreaking. I’ve been in your position way too many times with cats and dogs (especially living in the country as a child) and know what you’re going through. That is so wonderful that you had SPCA there to help. I hope you’re heart can mend soon and always remember the love and joy brought to your life by your little miss. <3
